Colleges Against Cancer is a national organization affiliated with the American Cancer Society and various college sites around the country. We aim to unite the collegiate community in the fight against cancer through four areas: advocacy, survivorship, cancer education, and Relay For Life.
Class of 2011 students Jenny Lin and Han Zhu began the chapter at the University of Chicago, an institution known for being at the forefront of cancer medicine and research. This chapter seeks to build a strong student foundation and initiate community projects, fundraising, and educational efforts that will ideally continue on for years to come. Establishing an annual Relay for Life, exploring means of clarifying information, and contributing to the existing cancer community are all priorities for us in our new years as an RSO.
